On December 7th-8th, 2023, the 11th Global Intelligent Logistics Industry Development Conference&Global Logistics Equipment Entrepreneurs Annual Conference sponsored by Logistics Technology and Application magazine, was successfully held in Suzhou. As an annual event of the industry, this conference with the theme of "Resilient Development Intelligent · Chain Future", brings together industry chain upstream and downstream resources, builds a platform for exchanges and cooperation between enterprises, and contributes to the high-quality development of China's intelligent logistics industry.
At the Intelligent logistics Industry Award Ceremony held in the same period, Damon was unanimously affirmed by the organizing committee and won the "2023 Intelligent Logistics Industry Outstanding Brand Award" with its reliable system integration capability, rich project delivery experience and high-quality whole process service.
Mr. Wu Zhonghua, vice president of Damon Group and general manager of Intelligent Logistics Division, was invited to attend the conference, and in the summit dialogue entitled "Globalization Development Strategy and Path", together with industry experts and enterprise executives, they had in-depth discussions from multiple dimensions such as market, management and supply chain, and shared Damon's globalization experience.
As one of the earliest logistics equipment enterprises in China to take the initiative to go abroad and implement the globalization strategy, Damon proposed to create value with global customers with Chinese brands, Chinese products, Chinese technology and Chinese services as early as 2010. After 10+ years of vigorous development, it has achieved quite good results. In 2022, Damon's overseas business continued to grow rapidly, accounting for about 28.5% of the group's business, and substantial breakthroughs have been made in the international market, with projects covering more than 30 countries and regions around the world.
Cultivate internally and externally, co-create value
The development of globalization is a long-term strategy, not a smooth road, and it will inevitably encounter difficulties and challenges. Enterprises need to enhance their awareness and formulate their own strategies and paths suitable. In this regard, general manager Wu said: logistics equipment enterprises pay attention to seeking common points while reserving differences and risk control, do not blindly follow the trend, find the target market that is compatible with their own delivery ability, and work hard to practice internal skills, dig deep into the local market and customer pain points, create intelligent logistics system solutions and high-quality products that are more suitable for local needs, and form a unique relative competitive advantage, then gain a foothold in overseas markets.
At the same time, Damon has always been committed to integrating high-quality resources, building a strong network of partners, and sharing experiences and results in an open and inclusive manner. In order to further deepen the global layout, Damon proposed the globalization strategy 2.0 to provide strong support for overseas business. In this regard, general manager Wu put forward "four dimensions + two support points".
1)Manufacturing layout
Damon has formed the layout of "domestic central factory + global regional factory + local cooperative assembly factory", makes full use of domestic manufacturing base’s R&D capabilities and the advantages of unified batch large-scale production, radiates overseas regional and assembly plants, and accelerates the local assembly and commissioning of Damon core products. At the same time, Damon will strongly support its partners to become regional authorized assembly plants, from components to critical logistics equipment systems, to strengthen close cooperation with each other, provide reliable guarantee for local rapid delivery of Damon branded products and solution services.
2)Network layout
With the core strategy of "local serve local", Damon has actively deployed the global marketing and service network, and has built a perfect localized marketing service system in Australia, Europe, the United States, Southeast Asia, Russia, Japan and South Korea, Brazil, Singapore and other overseas high-growth regions, through sales planning, manufacturing, engineering design, project execution, after-sales service, spare parts and other links, in order to quickly respond to the diverse needs of global project whole process, provide global customers with a full range of professional localized service support.
3)Resource allocation
